Hello again lovelies,
I’ll be the first to admit it: I’ve been a bit of a ghost. The last time I checked in here was August, and I had every intention of being that "organised blogger" who updates you every month. But life, as it usually does, had a slightly different plot twist in mind.
If I’m being completely honest (and we’re all friends here, right?), I simply ran out of steam.
2025 was in the best possible way a whirlwind. Between winning the Google You’re The Business Award, seeing Grandads Garden take home a Pure Beauty Award, and being named Emerging Business Woman of the Year, my heart was full, but my battery was flashing red. By the time the Christmas decorations came down, I realised I’d been so busy telling everyone else’s story through scent that I’d forgotten to look after my own.
So, I took a pause. A long one. I leaned into the "Calm" (literally and figuratively) and gave myself permission to just be Louise for a while, rather than Louise the Founder.
The Five-Year Glow-Up
The reason I’m so excited to be back in your inbox/feed today is because 2026 marks 5 years of Flourish Emporium. Five years! It feels like just yesterday I was blending my first "scented story," and now, here we are with eight core scents from the nostalgia of Grandads Garden to the spark of Inspiration. This year is going to be a massive celebration of how far we’ve come together, and I promise to bring you along for the ride (at a pace that keeps my wick from burning out again!).
New Chapters (and Stockists!)
I’ve recently returned from Showcase 2026, and I’ve come home with more than just sore feet! I am so giddy to share that we have six new stockists joining the Flourish family very soon. It’s a bit of a "pinch-me" moment to think of our candles sitting on even more beautiful shelves across the country.
And for those of you waiting for a new chapter to sniff? Two brand-new scent stories are currently being perfected in the studio. They’ll be launching in the coming weeks, and I think they might be my favorites yet.
Taking Baby Steps
I’m not jumping back into the deep end just yet. I’m taking baby steps re-learning the rhythm of writing, lighting a candle for myself every morning, and remembering why I started this journey five years ago.
Thank you for sticking by me while the "scented stories" were on intermission. I can’t wait to celebrate our 5th birthday with you all year long.
With love and a little bit of whimsy,
Louise x
